Eckhart Aurelius Publishing functions in practice as a non-profit author co-op. All would-be profits are distributed as royalties to the authors whose books we publish, enabling us to pay much higher royalties than traditional publishers. All authors whose books we publish get an equal vote in the running of the company and are eligible to be elected to the Board of Advisors. To have your book published by us, you must buy-in at a rate of either $30,000 USD (economy), $50,000 USD (standard), or $80,000 USD (diamond).
All buy-in levels include ultra-premium cover design, multiple rounds of professional editing, beta reviews, editorial reviews, audiobook production, paperback production, hardcover production, ebook production, book formatting, full distribution of ebook, audiobook, paperback, and hardcover version, Spanish translations of all formats, and intense marketing and promotion with guaranteed bestseller status. That is right: You can get all of that for just $30k, which is an extremely low price thanks to us working with an economy of scale by bundling it all together and handling it for multiple authors. It also saves you a ton of time since even if you hired 10 different contractors/companies to do each of the different expensive things, you would then have to manage and communicate with all of them which becomes yet another massive time-consuming job in itself.
The $50k Standard Level also includes Book of the Month at our partner site, OnlineBookClub.org, and a homepage feature at EckhartAurelius.org.
The $80k Diamond Level includes everything in Standard and Economy as well as an international book tour to destinations of your choosing. Please note, for the book tour, you will be responsible for paying for your own flights and lodging. If you do not want to attend during the tour, that is also fine, and we can do the in-person promotion ourselves without you (i.e. our promotion experts can tour the country to book expos and similar events on your behalf to promote your book and ensure you have a presence).
The Economy option is limited to only 100 authors per year. The Standard option is limited to only 12 authors per year. And the Diamond option is limited to only 4 authors per year max.
To buy in, you must first pay a non-refundable $1,000 downpayment to reserve your spot. Then, the remaining balance can be sent via wire transfer, cashier's check, or money order. The remaining balance must be paid within 90 days to be guaranteed to keep your spot reserved.
